Yaizu Shoyu Ramen
Locals in Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture love ramen so much that they eat it for breakfast.
Back in the day, laborers in the city would eat ramen after finishing their morning shifts. Breakfast ramen in Yaizu is still a thing today. Yaizu's soy sauce seasoned ramen is relatively light. But the biggest trademark is bonito fish (katsuo). Yaizu is a big shipping port...so it's no surprise that fish made its way into the ramen.
This Yaizu instant ramen makes sure that bonito is front and center. There's even delicious dried bonito flakes (katsuobushi) in one of the packets. While the bonito flavors are strong in the soup, it's balanced out with richness from pork.
