Tsugaru Niboshi Ramen

Tsugaru, Aomori is at the Northern tip of Honshu, Japan's largest island. "Tsugaru Ramen" is niboshi (dried sardine) based and packs a punch!

Canned sardines may have ruined the image of sardines for many in the West. If so, this ramen will change that. Niboshi (dried sardines) is a very important ramen ingredient...and they're front and center in this ramen style. This version is well-balanced - the pork bone soup is rich, harmoniously co-existing with the slightly bitter niboshi flavors. This is one of our favorites - it's as Japanese as it gets.
