Shima Shoyu Ramen
This one's from Shima, which has quickly become one of Tokyo's most popular ramen shops!
Shima is now so famous that it's highly ranked among ALL restaurants in Japan (not just for ramen). When I (Frank from 5 AM Ramen) visited, I had to wait almost 2 hours!
With their official instant ramen you thankfully don't have to wait as long. It beautifully replicates the warm chicken flavor you get in the soup at their ramen shop. Seaoned with a lighter soy sauce, the whole chicken flavors really come out to play here.
The thin noodles are delicate and the top-notch toppings are simple - pork chashu, menma (bamboo shoots), and green negi (spring onions).
