
Koku Shoyu Ramen
Japanese love soy sauce (shoyu). It's used in just about everything, including ramen.
This instant ramen makes sure that shoyu is the main attraction. As advertised, the shoyu is beautifully rich and bold ("Hojun Koku Shoyu"). It's also tangy and slightly sweet. It holds up a savory soup with a warm chicken flavor.
As is usually the case with Maruchan (the company behind this one), you get a big slab of chashu pork. The proper sheets of seaweed are a nice touch too.

- Boil 430 ml of water
- Open lid (without removing completely), remove packets
- Place toppings in clear green packet on top of noodles
- Pour boiled water up to line, seal lid, place silver red packet on top (heating the soup)
- After 5 minutes, break up noodles, pour in silver red packet, mix soup
- Add clear packet contents (seaweed), and it's ready!
