Kintoki Shio Ramen

"Menya Kintoki" serves award winning shio (salt seasoned) ramen in Tokyo.

For several years in a row they've been No. 1 for shio ramen in TRY (Tokyo ramen of the year magazine). This said, there was certainly pressure for their official instant ramen to be good.

It's better than good. The golden colored soup is brimming with bright chicken flavors (coming from a packet of chicken oil). But what stand out most are four fabulous dumplings. Kintoki normally doesn't serve dumplings (wantan). But this instant ramen included them...and they're the best I (Frank) have had in instant ramen.
