Katsumoto Shoyu Ramen
"Katsumoto" is one of Tokyo's highest ranked ramen restaurants.
This official instant ramen does a great job of reproducing what they actually serve. The soy sauce powered soup is tangy and carries a beautiful chicken flavor. This is also comes from chicken oil (the pink packet). The soup is also niboshi (dried sardines). But they play more of a supporting role.
The toppings are typical to Tokyo classic ramen. There's green and white negi (spring onions), bamboo shoots (menma), a big piece of pork chashu, and 2 sheets of seaweed. In summary, this is upgraded classic Tokyo ramen at its best.
