Hayashida Ramen

Shinjuku is one of Tokyo's most competitive ramen battlegrounds.

...and "Hayashida" is one of Shinjuku's top ranked ramen shops. They're run by the INGS ramen group, who operate several high-level ramen shops.

Hayashida's speciality is a soy sauce-seasoned, delicious chicken ramen. Just like the actual bowl they serve, this instant version has some sweetness from the soy sauce. But most importantly, the soup has a beautifully warm chicken flavor. They even include a packet of chicken oil to drive this chicken theme home.

Furthermore, the protein topping of choice is chicken, not pork! Enjoy the thinner, chewy noodles too.

Written Instructions:

- Boil 440 ml of water
- Open lid (without removing completely), remove packets
- Place toppings in clear blue and clear green packets (2) on top of noodles
- Pour boiled water up to line, seal lid, place black and yellow packets (2) on top of lid (heating the soup)
- After 5 minutes, break up noodles, pour in black packet and mix soup
- Pour in yellow packet (chicken oil) and it's ready!
