Chinchintei Abura Soba
"Chinchintei" is supposedly where abura soba (soupless ramen) originated in the 1950s. This is Chinchintei's instant abura soba!
Abura soba isn't that well known outside of Japan. In place of a soup is a thick sauce - so it's technically not "soupless". This instant abura soba is very similar to what you get at Chinchintei!
It has a buttery flavor, but the tangy shoyu (soy sauce) is very much present too. Furthermore, the thick and flat noodles maintain chewiness because they're not cooking in a soup.
The toppings are well-suited to everything - smaller pieces of pork, negi (spring onions), menma (bamboo shoots), and naruto (fish cake).
